Therapist shopping. You might not have ever heard this before but being a therapist and client myself, therapists shopping can be just as challenging as finding a good pair of jeans.
Association VS. Regulatory Body
The most obvious difference between the two lies in the victim that they are attempting to shield. A professional association is concerned with the welfare of their members while a regulatory body is concerned with the welfare of the public.
Counsellor? Psychologist? Psychotherapist? Psychiatrist? Social Worker? What is the difference?
The most obvious distinction between the two is the individual they are trying to save. Professional association protects the interests of their members whilst a regulator protects the public.
